Tibetans are protesting the Chinese.
Sudanese women and children are still dying in Darfur.
Women, young girls, even toddler and infant girls are victims of RAPE in Africa.
Young boys are forced into the militias while girls are forced into slavery, their innocence stripped from them.
People in poor countries are starving because of the food crisis, caused by the high price of crude oil and the production of biodiesels and biofuels.
War is still going on in Iraq and Afghanistan.
and we seem to be picking a fight with Iran...
all the while young girls all over the world are forced into marriage and motherhood at an early age, even in our own country.

And yet, here we sit, in front of our TVs and computers, texting and talking our lives away on our cel phones...bitching about the price of gas, the price of milk and eggs...talking about what Paris Hilton or Britney Spears are doing.

Who the F**k cares?
People are DYING.

And we seem to be focused on nothing, except what happens to be revolving around us in our own little insignificant world(s), and what is happening to us on this site? Who offended who, who said something bad/neutral about a "friend" on here whose work we admire to the point of worshiping, whether they deserve to be worshiped or not.

Is this what Nostradamus predicted? That we would be so profit driven and so misguided, that we cause our own downfall?
THAT is the question we should ask ourselves.
In the meantime, I suppose we go along on our own "happy" way and see where the road takes us.

Petition your government, join the peace corps...red cross.
Support organizations such as ONE.org, RAINN or UNICEF...
Do a little something to help. If your conscience begs you to, take a stand. Do a small little something...
If all of us do a little something, it can be something great.
I think it would be the right thing to do.
